Up for auction this week is the nicest guitar I have ever owned. It pains me to no end to see this go, but life is full of tough decisions.

It is a gently used Santa Cruz Guitar Company D model acoustic guitar. It has a Sitka spruce top, and Indian rosewood sides and back. The fretboard and bridge are made of ebony.

It is in fabulous shape, with only the slightest amount of playwear.

The neck is fabulous. The frets have minimal wear and they are very well finished on the edges, like you would expect from a guitar of this caliber. The neck has a comfortable rounded shape to it, and the width at the nut is about 1 & 11/16 inches.

It is all original, with no history of repairs or modifications.

How does it play? My guy set it up last month and it plays superbly, and sounds excellent.

The serial number is 5445, and it was made in 2007. I bought it new in 2010.

It weighs in at around 4 pounds, 6 ounces according to my scale.

It comes with the original SCGC hardshell case (Made by TKL in Canada) that is in great condition.
