Crossover – 2004

Note added 12/21/2001 - I am offering this amazing, excellent condition Goodall Crossover at a ridiculously low price. It was previously sold to an Ebay buyer but she didn't like it in contrast to her Taylor. We've moved and downsized and I just need the space.  I purchased this gorgeous guitar from The Music Emporium in
January, 2010, planning to take up Brazilian-style music. And I did for a few
months, but as my playing time is limited I end up playing my steel string guitars. So rather than have this beautiful instrument just sit in the studio, I’m making it available
for someone who knows what this is. I tried the best Crossovers out there
before making this purchase, including Buscarinos, and IMO nothing comes close
to James Goodall’s Crossover models. Here’s what the website says;

Guitars has introduced a nylon string Crossover guitar that will satisfy the
most discriminating guitar player.

Our
Nylon string Crossover models are truly a wonderful blend of steel string
playability and classical guitar tone and projection. We styled them to have
a beautiful, elegant look, somewhat in-between a steel string and classical;
a little Spanish blended with a little Western. A true fine classical
instrument has a powerful separation to each note and a brilliant and
powerful treble which makes its voice somewhat strident and less satisfying
when strummed like a steel string, but our Crossovers have a little more
blend, balance, richness and sustain making them suitable for strumming as
well as fingerstyle playing with equally satisfying results. There is plenty
of clarity on the treble stings though and when pushed they really sing out,
giving a wide dynamic range. The bass is very full and resonant, but not
overpowering.

Goodall Crossover model guitars are produced in one main
style:

• E.I. Rosewood back and sides. Western Red Cedar or
  Port Orford Cedar top. Rosewood binding.

This guitar is in wonderful condition. Low action with
plenty of room to even go lower. It has an under saddle pick-up…I don’t know
what kind, but it’s one with just a volume dial mounted inside the soundhole,
so it’s not visible. The input is at the base of the body and can double for a
strap holder. The other strap holder is 
professionally mounted on the neck base area. 

I’ll include over $100 of Pro Arte High Tension and
Hannenbach High Tension Trebles, exactly the strings James Goodall recommends
for this guitar.

I'll also have the guitar professionally boxed and shipped at the UPS Store.

The Hardshell Case is a wonderful solid AVS American Vintage
Series with gorgeous royal blue velvet inside. The case (see pic) does have
some kind of stock number painted on the side, but I’m guessing that some kind
of Goop Off type remover could get rid of it if it bugs you.

These guitars don’t show up every day on Ebay or elsewhere.
In fact, they only come along a few times a year, and get purchased quickly. This
is a great guitar at a starting price $500 below any other Goodall Crossovers
I’ve been able to find for sale on the web today.  Don’t miss out; you won’t find a nicer used
Goodall Crossover out there.
