Your looking at a Genuine J.Frog guitar built by the expert luthiers at Ed Roman's shop in Las Vegas. This is not a copy (of which there are many out there), nor is this the pathetic ESP version produced after George Lynch made the guitar famous. No, this is the real deal, and it comes with a Certificate of Authenticiy signed by J. Frog himself.
The guitar has an Alder body with a quarter-sawn maple neck and and ebony fretboard. The body is all hand carved (no CNC machines here), and has all the details of the original. It comes with a rare "black back" Seymour Duncan pickup which were produced for Ed Roman's guitar shop by Duncan. It has an original Floyd Rose tremelo on which I'm running two springs (I'll include the 3rd spring in the case upon shipment along with case keys and allen wrenches for the Floyd Rose). One curiosity to let you know about: the Ed Roman shop forgot to stamp the serial number on the guitar's neck above the 22nd fret, but the Certificate of Authenticity shows it to be serial #280-11. I talked to Ed, and he said it was simply an oversight on their part due to the busy Christmas season. He said he'd be happy to stamp it if you send it to him.
I've only played this guitar for about 10 hours in the safety of my bedroom, and I hate to let it go. It's 99% mint, and the tone is incredible through my Marshall JCM 2000.
It comes with the original Coffin Case, which is black with black quilted cloth and red stitching on the inside.
I paid $4,400 for this guitar new. Insured shipping brought the total up to $4,474. I hate to let it go, but I've got hospital bills to pay. My reserve is reasonable, and if you want an original J.Frog Skull 'n Bones guitar in near-perfect condition and don't want to pay the current price of $4,900 (and wait 2 months- plus to get it), here it is.
Note: This item is also listed locally, so the auction could end at any time.
