Hello Guitar Enthusiasts and Collectors:

Thank you again for the opportunity to showcase and put up for auction one of my very special custom-handmade-by-an-american luthier-using rare ziricote woods (like Madagascar/Brazilian Rosewood) acoustic guitar.

I continue to regularly fund my start-up business...So I have to put my Don Sharp guitar up for sale.  Your bids/and the eventual winner will help assist me forge forward with my startup business.  thank you in advance.

Condition:
- Mint Condition.  I've inspected and I couldnt find a ding. I will keep on looking.  I am a guitar collector and do not get to play my guitars that much.  I also regularly just play fingerstyle or lightly with a pick.
- OLD Strings.

Sound:
- The Sound has a very rich sound...a big bass...kinda raspy with a sparkly midrange and treble.  The big body creates a whoof type of sound.  The strings are very old but I do not plan to change or setup guitar because I know most new owners would want to have it setup to their own specifications.  The sound is quite amazing...Not boomy like a Martin Guitar...Kinda In-Between a Larrivee and Martin.  By the way, this expensive and rare Ziricote Wood (which is very similar to Brazilian Rosewood in sound) has a beautiful dark/medium brown color and lots of figure.  You will be amazed by its looks.  The Ziricote wood is just so exquisite.  It of course contributes to the LOUD and balanced tone of the guitar.  The Sound is incredible. The luthier put lots of attention to detail to this piece.  You will not have any regrets. JUST PUT NEW STRINGS ON IT.

Body Size/Cosmetics:
The Body is jumbo.  The Sound is loud without being boomy.  There is abalone all over the top body perimeter.  The color contrast of the abalone...light color of the spruce wood and the ebony fingerboard are perfect.

RARE: Don Sharp Custom Ziricote SJ,
This shape is popular among fingerstyle players for its focused and balanced sound. The round curves of this guitar reflect the smooth and intimate sound this model is popular for.
The Sharp SJ still has the great resonance and warm overtones known from Don's guitars. The main difference is the focus of each note.
All Braces are hand carved and each plate is tap-tuned to produce optimal tone. All materials used on my guitars are the finest available and this guitar is no exception. The spruce top is loaded with cross grain silking and Ziricote back and sides have superb figuring. If you’re looking for a beautiful custom SJ that looks, plays and sounds incredible (and won’t break the bank), this is it. This beauty’s voice is sweet! Nice deep rich bass and with balanced midrange and crisp high end. All in all it has a clean warm tone like a cross between a dreadnought and an OM with lots of volume. Don Sharp collaborated with Jim Olson and Brian Applegate on the neck design. So, if you like the feel of their necks, that's what's on this beauty. An SJ elsewhere can cost up to $12,500.00. Don's Custom Guitars start at $5K++ without any special features like ziricote and abalone which could add another $1500.  Abalone all around top body edge.
