For auction is a Gibson Les Paul, an early 80s model that began life as an XR-1. At some point, the pickups were replaced with EMG 81/85s. These were later removed and replaced with the pickups out of a 57 Classic. In doing so, the phase switch and the coil taps were. Disconnected, although they could be easily wired in again if you wanted to switch the pickups yet again. As it is, they are very loud and strong. The finish is goldburst with some dings and scratches. The back of the neck has some swirling as if someone considered sanding it at some time. The underside of the neck also shows some finish wear in the usual place. The neck and headstock have no breaks or cracks. The back control cavity is missing a few screws. Locking strap buttons are probably not original. Has cream colored pickguard as well. Comes with non-original hardshell case. If buy it now option is selected, I'll throw in the EMGs as well.
