Ibanez GB10 George Benson Hollow Body Electric Guitar with Case

Ibanez brings to the world the GB10 George Benson signature hollow body jazz box.
The legendary jazz guitarist George Benson has been playing Ibanez signature guitars since 1977 and for good reason. These instruments are some of the finest you can find in terms of tone, sustain and overall dependability. If you rely on your instruments day after day to make your living or just need a great guitar when playing those weekend gigs, the GB10 offers a beautifully unique flavor to any style of music from jazz to country. Some features include a spruce top, maple back and sides, a 3 piece maple neck with bound ebony fingerboard topped with 22 Medium frets. Pickups are specially designed Ibanez GB model pickups for awesome, sparkling tone.

George Benson and Ibanez
The acclaimed jazz artist, George Benson, began his association with Ibanez guitars in 1977. Ibanez, already an established name in the high performance rock guitar category, gained even more critical acclaim upon releasing the George Benson GB10 model. With his insistence on playing only the finest hand picked jazz guitars, a long lasting relationship between George and Ibanez was created. The GB10 model brings to the table several key features and is priced to compete with similar traditional jazz guitars. Ibanez and Mr. Benson are proud of their history and look forward to the future.

A few words about Ibanez…
Without a doubt Ibanez is one of the world’s foremost guitar manufacturers. The Modern Era of Ibanez guitars began in 1957 and since then they have enjoyed incredible success. They continue to experiment with edgy designs and finishes but have never lost track of their roots. Their amazing Artcore line of hollowbodies are some of the most sought after guitars in the world and their RG line is a must-have for rock and metal fans alike. And don’t discount their bass guitars, cherished by musicians the world over. This is a company that can do it all - straight-ahead rock models, elegant hollow bodies and everything in between. They even have a nice line of pedals and accessories that pros and amateurs have grown to love. Find out for yourself why some performers won’t play anything else but Ibanez.

I've decided I want a new toy, so to keep peace with the wife, something's gotta go.

Up for bids is a left-handed 2008 Gibson Les Paul Traditional Plus, in almost new condition. As you can see the flame is spectacular on this guitar. There have been no breaks or repairs, and definitely no alterations, other than new strings. What appear to be blemishes and worming in the photo of the back are actually a combination of flash, bad lighting, and finger smudges - the back is actually nearly perfect, except for three small indentations. There is also a small chip in the nitro on the binding of the neck where a microphone hit it, otherwise, it's very close to mint.

The OHSC is in immaculate condition, as I used a Protector case to transport the guitar to the dozen or so gigs it's been used on. The hang tags and other case candy are included.

BTW, before someone asks, yes, the pickguard is lighter than the pickup rings. Unfortunately, Gibson only makes lefty pickguards in cream or black, not the darker "antiqued" colour used on the other plastic. Go figure.

I am also selling this item locally, so reserve the right to end the auction at any time.

Free shipping if you use "Buy It Now". Otherwise, buyer to pay actual shipping costs, which will vary by buyer's location. Please wait for an invoice before paying.
International buyers are responsible for any and all duties, taxes, import fees, andor brokerage fees assessed at the point of entry.

More Photos:

For the artist (that's you) who'd like to create some mando music with signal processing, etc. and maybe finds the mandolin a bit small or a bit too high-pitched; the mandola has a longer neck and lower frequencies.

New photos, not retouched or color-corrected, added for the purpose of showing the minor injuries to the finish that this instrument has sustained in it's 3-1/2 year life, in which it has been my demonstration instrument.

Evidence of use is limited to a couple of tiny dimples in the front finish and a 1/4 inch cut in the finish at lower left bout toward the rear. Custom hardshell case has a little scuffing on the flat surface, but is otherwise perfectly intact with full integrity.

Also clearly visible is its otherwise immaculate condition. Note that the dark streak you see in the center of the back is naturally ocurring pigment in the wood; it is not a crack or other defect, but an additional bit of character.

Offered as here, in slightly used condition, with a great big price break.
