This 1998 Historic/Custom Shop 58 Lemondrop UNBurst is Brand New and has never been sold, played out and has spent it's whole life in it's MINT Custom/Art/Historic case! It does not have one scratch, nick, or blemish and is actually brand new. Even the strings are OEM 12 years old!!!

IT IS ALL ORIGINAL AND VIRTUALLY UNTOUCHED!! Nuff Said.

If there ever was or should have been a 40th anniversary 58, this would have been it!

I could go on forever about the 3D animated Killer Flametop on her,...and we have all heard the endless narratives of burl/curl/tiger/ribbon/quilt and all the other Flaming Figuretop discriptions.

Truth is they are all beautiful in their own way.

There is a story that goes along with this package regarding it's acquisition and decision to store it AS NEW. That will all be shared with the new owner.

These early 58 Historic reissues are really amazing guitars. They are sisters to the 59s in every way but the serial number. Reality is, if you played it and didn't know it was a 58,....you'd think it was a typical 59. But somehow the 58s got that extra attention at the custom shop that made them special, even more so since there were so few of them compared to the 59. Beautiful natural patina on all the untouched original nickel hardware is the only change since 98. NOTHING has been done to this guitar since it left Gibson, except maybe a few pickguard swirls from the 90s.

The price was $6.6K in 1998, so that's what it can be had for now, if not, try your luck bidding.

This is the first exposure it has had since the 90s, and will NOT be endlessly relisted on eBay!

It was a special guitar then, it stands alone now.
