Here for sale is a almost 30 year old, beautiful early 1982 JV ST62-85 fender stratocaster in good condition, Has a very very thin nitro 3 tone sunburst finish looks like a real 1960, no checking in the finish normal small dinks here and there, it weighs 7 1/2 pounds, original Grey bobbin fullerton USA pickups sound just like red bobbins...it shows a few small dings here and there but no abuse, just normal honest play wear, on the back of the neck there are some finish dinks from what looks like a bass guitar strings bumping the finish off, this did not dent into the wood, has no effect on feel or playing....comes with original paper work and DM-30 DM-50 switch, original capacitor and truss rod tool all these items came with it when i purchased the guitar, the current capacitor and 3 way switch is from a 1992 vintage ressiue because the switching was so noisy It got changed out....one thing very important to mention with this guitar, is the neck pocket, I have never seen a neck pocket this tight on any fender USA or other brand of guitar with a bolt on neck, I have another JV ST57-115 that the neck is not this tight and the nitro not as thin and I dont know why this 85 did not make the 115 mark other than a dark area of alder near the arm contour... The japanese workmanship and quality really shows in the neck tolerence, and this is why people are really going for these early JV guitars, to get the neck out, it is so tight it has to be carefully raised stright up from the pocket.I tried to capture the neck in the photo, The dark rosewood fretboard has a beautiful grain and the more accurate 12 fret marker dot spacing, correct curved slab board, rather than the flat slab board seen on the vintage reissue slab boards, just needs clay dots, many such details make these stratocasters a more accurate copy of the leo stratocasters than the early USA copys, as well these are 28 year old strats and are approaching the same age as the 1959 1960 strats where in the mid 1980s when people where really starting to get hip to the great sound, workmanship and played in, old dry wood...this is something the fender custom shop can not build into the guitars they make....if i can answer any questions let me know and i will do my best to help you....the only thing i do not have is the back trem guard, comes with 1982 era japan guitar case...
