Ok, this is the last guitar of mine I am going to sell. So, here it goes: 1979 Fender Stratocaster - Sienna Sunburst, Maple Neck.

Neck: Maple, large headstock, bullet trussrod, skunk stripe, 3 Bolt, original nut, tuners, string trees. black position markers, Perfect decals, straight. It has aged to the Butterscotch tint as seen in the pics. Trussrod works as it should. No extra holes all original. It has minor scratches and dents. back of neck is smooth with no noticeable imperfections. There is wear on the sides and some of the fingerboard as seen in the pics. Small ding on the 6th fret and is the dark spot you see in the photos but, anymore amounts to a light wear spot. Frets are good, worn (mostly in the middle neck area). It could use another fret dressing and light recrowning but, plenty of life left in them. Low action, no buzzing with med. strings. It plays great for me.

Body: Sienna Sunburst, Ash - It is a heavy mother. You don't get ash like this anymore. Body has playing wear spots thru the finish as you would expect from a 31 year old guitar - I tried to capture it in the photos. No relic-ing here, it is from playing it.. It has scratches, a couple of dings, swirl marks and very, very faint weatherchecking - very faint. Shaller straplocks installed on it. I have long lost the original white backplate and put on an old black one I had - it is scratched also. White pearloid eggshell pickguard. I have used a couple of different pickguards over the years and not a clue where the original went either. this one is w-b-w.. No trem arm, I don't use them.  Bridge is original, as is the jack, neck plate (micro-tilt adj.) 5 way switch, neck & bridge p-ups, volume pot & middle tone pot. Bottom tone pot has been replaced as one of the fingers on the shaft broke (I do have that). Knobs are Fender recent aftermarket. Middle p-up is a Bartolini smooth top cover (do they even make guitar p-ups anymore?). There is a 9V battery under the backplate wired to the bottom tone pot. Around 7 the battery boost kicks in and gets in your face snarling mean No extra routing or holes drilled anywhere. It just sits between the springs. Nothing fancy - just a battery wired to the tone pot that is usable in all switch positions. Roll it back and you go to that nice Fender tone. Turn it up and it is very Les Paul sounding, big & full and with the original bridge p-up produces some terrific Billy Gibbons/Gary Rossington type screaming pick harmonics. It's a personal choice. It has worked really, really well for me. You can do with this guitar whatever you want, restore it or whatever. Vintage parts for this guitar are findable to make it stock if that is your thing. I am a player, not a collector and this is what it is, A really nice vintage guitar with great mojo and a pretty wide selection of tones. Find your own voice with it. I am pretty sure you will not be dissapointed with this guitar.

Case: Original case, black ABS, black fur lining. Four latches and they all work. No key for the lock. Outside has a couple of old Boss stickers on it - easily removed, scratches, etc. Large compartment inside that works as it should. No structural damage - everything lines up as it should and works properly.
