1971 Gibson SG standard

• 
  Serial number #961626  with "Made in the USA"    Gibson said the serial number is consistent with a build date range of 1970-1972.....I believe "made in the usa" appeared in 1971.

  Neck repair done....professionally....cracked where the headstock begins to tilt back ....can see on the front of the headstock



•  original Lyre maestro vibrola tail piece




• Trapezoid inlays




• binding around neck...... yellowed with age




• original translucent finish with checkering across the body




• appears to be the original pick-ups and large black pick guard




• cool metal "pointer" indicators for the tone and volume buttons




• overall cool nicely worn-in guitar.....has the classic belt buckle wear, wear near the bottom of the body( see last photo), and some wear near the amp cord jack ......chip in finish ( previous owner put a switch plate ....bass/treble round plastic under the jack )




• straight neck




• In Musicians Friend ....the reissue SG with same tailpiece sells for $3099.99 !!!! I would be afraid to play and put the first scratch on it!!! This is a great guitar to enjoy and play.....and not be that paranoid all sales final ......please ask all questions
